About Machining
Machining describes the process of removing excess material from a component by cutting, milling, abrading or other techniques.
Machining by power driven tools, such as milling machines, lathes, shaping machines, gear cutting machines, are employed to yield the dimensional accuracy and surface finish requirements necessary. At Isaac Butterworth, our machinists are able to work to the tightest of tolerances. Using a range of conventional and CNC machines we are able to manufacture the desired products of our customers particular project specifications.
In some cases more modern techniques such as EDM and laser cutting may be employed.
