Forgings

About Forging

Forging is the oldest of the various techniques of processing/shaping of metal.

There are numerous types and associated processes including from hot and cold forging, drawn and upset die forging and open die forging, amongst others.

The physical size and weight of product can vary substantially; weight, for example, can range from less than a kg to over 100 tonnes.

The forging process produces metal products of greater strength than products that have been cast.

Both ferrous and non ferrous metals are capable of being forged.
